Weird thing... it works if I copy it to a new browser window, but not if I click it from the page. Most likely geocities doesn't allow people to reference non-html files from external websites. -- Giampaolo Agosta http://digilander.iol.it/agathokles ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 10 Sep 2002 09:12:14 -0700 From: Andrew Theisen Subject: Re: 3e classes At 09:47 PM 9/9/02 -0700, you wrote: > Heya- I've been working on some variant 3e core classes, such as > merchants for Darokin and swordsmen for the Savage Coast. Thanks. The DMG is a pretty good start, though I'm assuming you've already got that. I can't recall any issues of Dragon offhand (there is one with class construction resources for Prestige Classes, and another one for Feats, but I can't think of any for Core Classes). I think your best bet is just to gauge it in comparison with other core classes, possibly look for feedback here or in other forums, and of course- if you're able to do so- playtest it at various levels against other core classes. I'm working on a Merchant core class myself, so I'd love to see what you've come up with. My main problem with it is the Experience system- the current 3E standard is so strongly geared towards conflict (adventurer vs. monster) that it doesn't seem an appropriate standard for an interaction-based class like the Merchant. I've been trying to think of some alternative, but nothing I've come up with yet seems to work. ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 11 Sep 2002 08:25:09 +1200 From: Chris Furneaux Subject: Re: Taymoran website > > This link > http://www.geocities.com/TimesSquare/Castle/1437/TAYMGEO.gif > > on your map page (http://digilander.libero.it/agathokles/taymmap.htm) > > does not work. > Weird thing... it works if I copy it to a new browser window, but not > if > I click it from the page. > Most likely geocities doesn't allow people to reference non-html files > from external websites. That'd be right. The simple solution: click in the address bar, add a space to the end, hit enter, watch it load. end. ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 10 Sep 2002 21:04:39 -0500 From: Eric Anondson Subject: Pinnacle's Deadlands D20 question I have avoided the Deadlands setting, mostly because it just didn't appeal to me in the least. However, recently, I just purchased AEG's Swashbuckling Adventures D20 hardcover book. I'm a huge fan of the Red Steel/Savage Coast setting, and this book is so perfect for the setting, it is almost uncanny. I was mentally placing this or that prestige class from the book in one Savage Coast culture after the other. Yet one prominent regional culture was lacking representation in the book... Cimarron. So, my question, for those who are familiar with Deadlands D20, how suitable would the rules in that campaign book fit for use in Cimarron? Or would I be better served grabbing something like Broncosaurus Rex for something with a Wild West flavor? Thanks!
