What is the "DA-series"?

Very good hints. Thx.
I totally agree; that's my interest, to find out the whole story and=20
history (IC and OOC).

Just adding: besides the the DA-series and the Glantri Gaz, there is WotI=20
(which references the past and thus could receive a bit more of flavour by=
=20
additional historical info).

What do you mean?

Pls tell me more about "I am also investigating suitability of other GMG=20
products for Mystara/Blackmoor such as the Campaign Classics series...".

Many thanks again,

But ofcourse! ;)

> What is the "DA-series"?

DA1 Adventures in Blackmoor by Dave Arneson and David
Ritchie
DA2 Temple of the Frog by Dave Arneson and David
Ritchie
DA3 City of the Gods by Dave Arneson and David Ritchie

DA4 Duchy of Ten by David Ritchie

DA5 City of Blackmoor was never published, but will
apparently be released by ZGG eventually....

Both very interesting topics :)

Absolutely. Some of the other Gazetteers also have
some Blackmoor relevant material. The Shadowelves Gaz
comes to mind, as does the HW boxed set which contains
information on the Elves of Blacklore.

> >not the least if you are using 3E.

the current Dave Arneson's Blackmoor (DAB) material is
written for 3.5E, so it is more useful if you are
using that rules version, although the books contain
enough setting info to make them useful for users of
other systems aswell.

For more on Blackmoor, check out my own humble website
on the matter on:

Well if people think that these products should be added to the list then
I'll add them.

Since the list already contains alot of non-TSR
material, including material that doesn't refer to
Mystara at all, I see no reason why it shouldn't. I'm
interested in other peoples opinions about it
though...

The listings for Dragon Magazine should be updated
aswell. Can anyone remember which issues dealt with
Mystara related topics?

There was the Campaigns Classics issue and the Lupin
article for sure. Also the Diaboli article

I also remember seeing the Ecology of the Choker.
Might be worth mentioning...

Oh that's right! Well, it could make for an
interesting duel. My bets are on Ellis actually.
Having a white dragon around might help...

Wow, Gary!
Do you have a DB about it or checked every issue? (!!!)

We unfortunately do not have the magazine here... only the commemorative CD
(up to issue 250, I guess).

Regards and thanks,
Vini

Yeah, good list Gary. We are still missing the issues
with the Diaboli article and the one with the Ecology
of the Choker though. Anyone?

I know alot of people would kill to get that CD
collection! :)

You can probably buy the more recent Dragon magazine
issues from www.paizo.com

They have back issues from a while back...

Winning Races Diaboli is in Dragon 327 January 2005 page 62
Ecology of the Chokers is in Dragon 323 September 2004 page 75

Well done!

But wait, there is more! The Dungeon articles about
the Isle of Dread should also be included, from
Dungeon 114.

Has anything else worth mentioning (in this context)
been published anywhere recently?

That made me think of a map made by Allyn Bowker, a
member of the CC2 Mailing List - truly an amazing
cartographer:

http://www.darkleagues.com/Samples/oceans.htm

Someday I'd like to do something similar of Mystara,
but I doubt I have the skill, patience, or time to
accomplish such a task.

I did make me ponder something, though. On the plaque
on eBay, it shows various famous explorers, so I was
wondering if someone were to do that for Mystara, who
might be included? Obviously, there is Prince
Haldemar, but after that I come up empty. Can anyone
else think of any others?

The only one that jumps to mind for me is Captain Rory Barbarosa of The Isle
of Dread fame.

it was only the other day when I was looking at the prodlist page that I=20
