I think I've heard of people inputing SVG files but I'm not sure how they did it. I'll check on the CC2-List. > In other words, I can provide you with certain parts > of your maps that could > save you a great deal of time and effort, and allow > you to concentrate more > on the good bits like contours and pictorial maps > like your Elegy Island > example. I appreciate the offer. However, I've already done the grunt work on the coasts, rivers, lakes, etc. Pretty much *all* I'm actually doing at this point is drawing the contours and adding the symbols. And wouldn't you know it, that's the tedius part... > If you can then output into some sort of standard > vector drawing format, > that would make things even better, allowing me, for > example, to manipulate > and work with the contours you create in CC2, for my > own nefarious purposes. > ;-) Well, if I can figure out a way to convert into your format or if you can use one of the above, you're welcome to do what you like with the data. > Hehe, I'm getting carried away myself now. ^^;> > > Here's an example: > http://www.maeshowe.co.uk/thorf/coasts-and-rivers.png Looks good. Pretty close to what mine looks like - but then it should, shouldn't it? I guess we must both be on the right track. :o) > I can provide this and more in SVG format. I've tried to preserve as much of the canon accuracy as possible, but I've struck out on my own in a few places. For one thing, city placement on the original maps is clumsy at best. Also, as I'm sure you're well aware, using vector graphics brings up a whole new universe of accuracy when zooming. Add to this that I've been adding some fractilization to my coastlines for detail that never existed in the originals and well, I've got my own 'canon' so to speak. But then, prior to the last century or two, you'd be lucky to find maps from two different sources that were 100% identical. I'm OK with minor variations as long as the major points are in order. > Tanoshimi ni shiteru ne. ;-) Hmmm... wakarimasen. Here's a PNG of all the islands of Ierendi in the deired style: http://www.geocities.com/brendan_corliss/ierendi.png I'm getting fairly proficient at this particular look, but I have a feeling that the islands are much easier than the mainland will be. Stay tuned for further updates... Oh yeah, anyway who may be interested in getting the map in CC2 format, e-mail off list and I'll send it to you direct. Remember, you don't have to buy CC2 to use the file. you can download the viwer/printer for free: http://www.profantasy.com/library/dpv.asp -Damon aka Brendan Corliss Corliss Enterprises, Ltd. The name is used to identify all those werewolves in the valley who follow the Wolf Law, set forth by the White Wolf of Morlay (that is Sire Malachie, Baron of Morlay, whose dream is to establish an actual Principauté des Loups Libres/Principality of Free Wolves) Canine Protection Society is one of the organization set by Malachie to protect werewolves by racial prejudice and persecution (Sire Richard d'Ambreville, the oldest brother of Prince Etienne, and his wife, Dame Isidore, known as Les Exécuteurs des Loups-Garous/Killers of Werewolves, are their main enemies). This secret organization is also secretly supported by Prince Etienne himself. Other organizations, public or secret, in the valley are: La Garde d'Obsidienne (Pubblic): The Obsidian Guard is the personal guard of Sire Malachie Le Tribunal des Loups (Secret): Is the Wolves Tribunal, set to enforce the Wolf Lav Le Loup Noir (Ultra-secret): Is an elite branch of Tribunal des Loups, whose name means The Black Wolf The Lycanthropic Society (Public): Is an association of non-werewolves who work to protect them against persecution, founded by Dame Magdaléne d'Ambreville, sister to Prince Etienne All these things, and a lot more, you can find in PC4 - Night Howlers. I just picked them up for you, in order to recover my own Glantrian pride, who was seriously hurt by the esitations I have shown last week about a matter related to my homeland.
