I am posting this because I let my friend borrow my Dragonlance book.

I am a member of a small roleplaying community that does freestyle rps based on many dnd rules. Recently there has been a dispute over a spell one of the characters on the rp forum cast. That spell is 2nd Heartbeat. He claims it is from the dragonlance setting and my girlfriend says she looked all over the net and couldnt find any reference to it. What I am wondering is there a spell called 2nd heartbeat in the dragonlance campain setting book, or any other dragonlance book released for 3rd edition.

Here is what the character posted:

(its called Necromancy. And if you must know its a spell called 2nd Heartbeat inwhich the caster can keep the heart beat and the victim alive no matter what is going on around them. Again...i used PWK long before you shot your gun. And to that point...sinse when is sayin "pulls out a gun and shoots hitting in the head" rping?? You get to choose which shots of yours hit?? How do you evenk now you would of had a clear shot? You dont...and even if you did...doesnt matter..sorry.)

If someone could check on that for me I would be very grateful.

Thank you.

Well, I don't know for sure, but I have every DL book but Towers of High Sorcery, and I'm about 85% sure that that is not a spell, at least not from a DL product that I own.

I know there's a Magic the Gathering card referred to as Heartbeat, but I've never heard of a DnD spell with that name.

The onus is on him to give you a source, not for you to find it. Until he does, too bad-so sad, it didn't happen.
