Am I just missing this info? I can't seem to find anything official that says who owns Fortune's Wheel or Azure Iris. Seems strange that there's no mention of owners when someone like Shemeshka is always there & there's rumors that a live dragon might live under the place. There outta be rumors about who owns the place instead :P

I believe that Verden, the wood elf Prolonger, owns the Azure Iris Inn.

And I've always assumed that the Dragon stuck in the wall behind the bar in the Fortunes Wheel was the owner, though I might be wrong.

I assume the Marauder owns Fortune's Wheel. You think the King of the Crosstrade would spend so much time in someone else's inn?

It's probably not public knowledge, though.

Or, rather, regardless of who owns, it, Shemeshka owns it. One way or another.

But Shemmy's right that it's implied that the dragon owns the tavern.

Where did you find info about Verden being the owner of the inn? Did I miss that in In the Cage or is it somewhere else? I'd like to read up on it.

I thought the dragon owned Fortune's Wheel also, but it's odd that there's only "rumors" about a dragon being the owner. It seems strange that no one knows for sure who the owner is. Somebody works directly with the owner in order to be hiring staff if the owner isn't doing that himself. Unless the 1 person that originally dealt with the owner died long ago and the staff took his place and ran the joint on their own. That would add a bit of flavor & mystery as to why there's only a 'rumor' of a dragon owner.

I'm pretty sure that she runs/owns the place, but I might have been mistaken when I last read her entry in 'In the Cage' (Which admittedly has been over a year and a half, which was right before I blew up the Fortune's Wheel and Azure Iris in my campaign).

The 'dragon' be he the dragon head behind the bar or not, probably works through intermediaries or through assumed identities, or he doesn't exist at all, and he might just be a cover story for a certain fiend immaculate taste and style. I've always run with the Dragon being the actual owner of the place in terms of owning it on paper and handling the daily mundane operations, but with (possibly) the Marauder having more 'ownership' even if it isn't official.

I liked that Dragon, still do too. There's so many amusing ways to avoid answering the question of "So where's the rest of you?"

Verden's entry in Uncaged: Faces of Sigil explains she runs the place. I don't think it actually says she owns it, but she runs it.

That's not so odd in Sigil. There are any number of ways an absentee owner could communicate with their employees, not all of them magical. Spells, shadows, Autochon's messengers, appearing personally but wrapped in illusion... there doesn't have to be anyone who knows the truth, anywhere along the line. This kind of thing is probably downright common in the City of Doors.
