I have not read all the books, but Mina's arrival is a mysterious affair. Could she not be a portion of the Dark Lady's power, soon to germinate and bloom into another evil queen?

She has all the makings for a ripe Avatar for the new Goddess. If only there was some way, in her grief, that she could get to Takhisis' corpse from where the other gods 'stashed it, I think she might have some kind of Apotheosis.

Thanks, I will check out the rest of the books.

Vedic-I thought Mina stashed her body? That was what I got from the source books. Maybe I misread.

Yes - Mina was the one who buried Tak's body.

I've always maintained I'd love to see that, but I highly doubt it would ever happen, and it surely won't as long as Ms. Weis has anything to say about it. I haven't really kept up lately, but she's always maintained that Takhisis is dead for good.

Who knows? Anyway, to the OP, you should really read the Amber books about Mina. There's some interesting twists in there. I can't wait for the third book!

At the moment I am reading Amber and Iron, ( I didn't got amber and ashes so I started in this one. Yes I know you first have to read amber and ashes but I doubt if my answer to my question is in the first volume)

Something that I find very strange about Mina is this;
When Mina was locked up in the tower by Nuitari and was observed by the black robes, they noticed this >>> The subject Mina is magic-resistant BUT with this qualification: she is resistant to the magic only if she does not know that magic is being cast upon her! if a spellis cast upon her without her knowledge, the magic __ even themost powerful __ has no effect upon her. However, if she is told in advance a spell is going to be cast upon her, she falls victim to it immediatly, without even attempt to defend herself.

How is this possible? Is she maybe somekind of Demi-god? What do you think?

i do not think Mina will take takhisis's place. i dont even think she will be a evil god. I wouldnt be suprised if she renounced her godhood completely. or became a neutral god. just have to wait and see! Cant wait for the book to come out!

I wouldn't think they would make her a neutral goddess, the balance is already messed up since the death of Takky and mortalization of Paladine. Good and Evil are at 6 deities and Neutral is still at 7; tell me how that's "maintaining the balance".

Think of it like a teeter totter, if everybody sits in the middle and the seats at the sides are even then it is balanced (even). If she joins either good or evil, then someone must join the other side in order to maintain the balance. I am hoping for her to go geood so that way we can see who will be evil. Of course we could always see the creation of a new god. We know that gods can have children gods, (Nuitari, Lunitari, and Solinari, Kiri-Jolith, etc.)

i dont think a new god would be created. they may call a god from the beyond to fill the void but i highly doubt it.

possibilities are, mina takes the place of tak, and paladine regains his godhood (doubtful)

mina becomes a neutral god, which doesnt upset the balance anymore than it already is. neutrality is balance, the question of too much balance is fun to think of.

mina renounces her godhood and becomes a mortal so she can die and pass on to the river of souls (doubtful)

Mina is removed completely from the krynn patheon, holding no ethos on krynn what so ever, becoming similar to chaos and the high god, she is a god who doesnt promote worship of herself and doesnt keep clerics or grant powers (unlikely)

the solution i see as the most likely. mina dies before she discovers her divinity.

like i said, i cant wait for the next novel, i really wanna see how they handle this.

I know how I handled it. Total rearrangement. Hahahahaha.

Mina to Good.
Branchala to Neutral.
Shinare to Good.
Majere to Neutral.
Reorx to Good.
Sirrion to Evil.

That put 7 good, 6 neutral, 7 evil.
