So, I pulled the trigger this morning:

The new and improved http://athas.org is live. There's still a few rough edges on it, but we've been living for years with rough edges on the old site. And so, it is gone.

the temporary test site is now offline (was test.athas.org).

If you find any bugs or things blow up on you, let me know.

Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage

Most likely causes:
You are not connected to the Internet.
The website is encountering problems.
There might be a typing error in the address.

What you can try:
Check your Internet connection. Try visiting another website to make sure you are connected.

Retype the address.

Go back to the previous page.

More information

thats it. thanks for the effort in helping me with my ubernooberness.

Flip, I'm not sure if it's me or the site but the disclamer and WotC logo get cut-off at the bottom. Other wise cool set up.

You are correct, and no I'm not changing fox, mac or what ever anyone recommends I happen to like IE.

Oh, before I forget again - what's the Log In link in the upper right for, Templarate?

No, I'm not dropping the "get a real browser" line on you. Which version of IE are you using, 6 or 7?

I'm noticing that 7 doesn't like some of the methods I used for positioning things on the page -- the top bar gets shoed to the right, and the footer is cut off. I'll see what I can do to fix it, but it's gonna take some tinkering.

I'm running with IE7. Tinker away... but I thought gnomes were eradicated... Oh the Shadow King is not going to be happy about this...

It's a much better looking and navigating site. However, in the change over, the link to the D&D 3.0 rules set was lost! Not everyone has converted over to 3.5 yet (because some were waiting for the inevitable 3.10 or 4.0). Is that a permanent change, or is that a bug? (re: http://www.athas.org/products/ds3)

Ah. It probably hasn't worked on the test site since I split News and Articles. I've updated the feed information on production, it should be fine now. (just subscribed myself, so, it flows)

Which reminds me, never transitioned the news announcement for Athasian Emporium from the test site to the production...

The file has been re-added to the DS3 product page.

Hi!

Site looks nice. Very dark ;) Like the graphics very much!

Just one question: Where has the Links section gone? You have the addition of a new DS site to the Links section on the News page, but no such section!

hi!

just wanted to ask again about links on the site and if it is possible to put a contact section in. at the moment if anybody has questions about the page (such as me ;) ) there is no way you can contact athas.org - unless you happen to know that this forum exists...

i'm also asking about links, because one of the news items is

'A new website has been added in the Links section, Athas Reborn, a mod for Neverwinter Nights.'

but i could not find the links section.

can anyone help?

thanks!

There are a couple of little side pages that aren't well called out. I'm working on it.

Cool. Thanks for letting me know! I'm just being selfish here because I normally get all my Dark Sun site hits from athas.org, so currently nobody reads my stuff - boohoohoo! ;)

Seems that trouble with my domain name change doesnt help me too... Fewer hits.

There's also a revision of the old links section in the works; need to clean up appareance and such. It'll be out within the next two weeks or so.

Grummie, you were supposed to start mantaining the links on athas.org as well, at one point. Still up for it, or do I need to farm tags off delicious? ;)

Yeah, I was suppose to... After I accepted this offer, I wasnt even able to update my own links section.

I have it updated on my computer at home. I should be able to upload it tonight or tomorrow.

There are a LOT of site that are now gone. I mean a LOT.

Some of your missing links have been archived on the Internet Archive Wayback Machine. That is if your still wanting to access them.

A search function would be really really keen. I know there used to be a 3.5e Dark Sun PC sheet on there somewhere but I can't find it now.
