I would simply like to skip all the intro stuff and start the adventure in HighPort, but I'm still not exactly sure how I want to do it. The PCs are fairly well established heroes on the small island kingdom where my campaign is based. I don't want to use the "Lady Dame Gold party" intro or the "PC's get captured, then escape" follow-up. There's just too much fluff before the HighPort temple seige. I'm contemplating having the party informed that slavers have attacked a few of the coastal towns and villages. Perhaps a few individuals the party knows have been taken prisoner. I would still like for the party to investigate the scene and interrogate a local Slaver spy to get information about the destination of the slaver ships - HighPort. Oh, and by the way, I'm not adventuring in the Greyhawk campaign setting, just using the adventure in my world. Anyone have any suggestions for alternate ways to get the party to HighPort? -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 2] Author : diaglo Date : 02-27-04 01:44 PM they receive a hand delivered writ to appear in Saltmarsh...i mean highport...it seems party member X has inherited a mansion on the coast. they go to investigate...and it is haunted. but come to find out it is really just filled with pirates smuggling stuff. some of the cargo is slaves. the captain's hidden log book mentions the location of the slaveholds....etc.... you could also pick up the 2ed Slavers 11621 which came out in iirc 1999. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 3] Author : Redthorne Date : 02-27-04 04:00 PM Thread Title : intro That is a very creative idea. I may just have to use that in some fashion. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Downloaded from Wizards Community (http://forums.gleemax.com) at 05-10-08 08:19 AM.
