I would like to create an Hengeyokai PC and I am very fond of an Ox, Taurus or so to say..Cow Hengeyokai. But it seem that there is not any mentioned in the Hengeyokai entries of Oriental Adventures? But the cover of of the Monstrous Compendium Kar-Tur seems to show one in the middle of the picture... http://www.svgames.com/tsr2116esd.html Any ideas... any insights... -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 2] Author : 3Man20 Date : 11-02-04 03:13 PM Thread Title : possibly I would think that if your DM says it's okay, then by all means, you should be able to create an ox Hengeyokai. The one thing I noticed about the animal attributes of Hengeyokai is that they aren't overly powerful. I guess it would be too much of an adavantage if you could change to ox form and then be able to go crazy doing massive amounts of damage....but as with everything D&D, if the DM says so, then it is so... -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 3] Author : MadBall Date : 11-03-04 05:44 AM Yes, its true with having an Hengeyokai available which can be transform itself to 500lbs muscles can be way to hefty... Did not thought about this...maybe that explains why there is not an Ox entry... Well, the Monstrous Manual list an mammal entry for Cattle and Buffalo, whereas the Buffalo would be way to superior with regard of the other Hengoyokai creatures (2 Attacks, 1D8 Damage ,Charge!) But the Cattle maybe would make it, leaving it to a normal Cow (Muh! I say!) with having 1 Attack, 1D4 Damage, AC 7, MV 15 which would be average values compared to the other Hengoyokai creatures. Interesting would be the modifications of Attributes, lets say +2 Constitution -2 Intelligence... What yould you say... BTW I am a DM! ;-) -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 4] Author : 3Man20 Date : 11-03-04 12:55 PM Thread Title : Why not! Don't forget what kind of strength bonus you might could get...even normal cattle are strong as an ox (doh!)...bad pun, sorry. I am the DM for my group as well, and my take on it would be that if the player can give me a good justification, then I would probably let him do it (we would have to agree on all the attributes, etc. of course). I'd say go for it...moo. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 5] Author : Graendahl Date : 11-04-04 08:19 PM Thread Title : As an OA loving DM I would consider adjusting Str and Con positivly; Int and Chr negativly. +1 each, or possibly a +2 and +1 combo (along with corresponding negatives o' course) does not seem to unreasonable. The phrases dumb as an ox, smart as an ox, and you look like an ox all come to mind. :) -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 6] Author : MadBall Date : 11-05-04 05:33 AM >The phrases dumb as an ox, smart as an ox, and you look like an ox all come to mind.< I doubt you would dare to say that to THIS guy: http://www.wizards.com/dnd/images/mm2_gallery/88268_620_126.jpg hmmwa! :) Yes, +2 Str, +1 Con, -2 In -1 Cha should make it. Hai! ;) -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 7] Author : Graendahl Date : 11-05-04 07:18 PM LOL, I am sure that is the case. Though I was using the commonly heard phrases to justify the ability adjustments.. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Downloaded from Wizards Community (http://forums.gleemax.com) at 05-10-08 08:16 AM.
