It protects caster from all physical damage for 5 hp per level to a max of 25 hp. The caster cannot attack or cast offensive spells through it. Now my question is can a caster with this spell in effect jump or fall to where normaly they would take damage and the spell absorb the damage? Thanks -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 2] Author : Agathokles Date : 09-27-06 03:02 PM Thread Title : Re: Realms spell question 1e&2e In the Old Empires accessory is a 1st level spell called barrier. Thanks It could go either way -- it would not be extremely unbalanced to allow it, since featherfall is also 1st level, and the spell's usefulness is not really hampered by denying it. So, it's mostly a flavor matter, depending on whether the effect is a sort of force field that blocks incoming blows (in which case it would not prevent falling damage) or a cushion effect (in which case it would work for falling damage). -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 3] Author : weasel fierce Date : 09-27-06 10:04 PM Thread Title : Re: Realms spell question 1e&2e Are there any exceptions listed in the spell description for what it protects against ? Assuming not, I'd be fine with letting it protect against falling damage. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 4] Author : FingerThePick Date : 09-28-06 11:57 AM Thread Title : Re: Realms spell question 1e&2e I dont remember there being any exceptions but the book is at home and I'm at work. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Downloaded from Wizards Community (http://forums.gleemax.com) at 05-10-08 08:18 AM.
