So i see from enworld that DL.com has its own forum now, and that SP will hang out there. What about here? I will be honest and say that the forum crowd at DL.com has never appealed to me, and along with the fanfic section, kept me away from that site for years. I don't really want to go back, but since i'm a loyal DL peon i will.

But does that mean that these boards will die?

Naw, they will never die... Does anyone remember the old school message boards back in the TSR days... There were 3 different forums for Dragonlance, but not much people frequented them...

I never cared for the crowd at DL.com's old forums on the RPG Consortium boards, but I'm willing to give the new board a chance.

I hope this doesnt mean the occasional visits from Christopher Coyle will stop now though

the mailing list and the newsgroup fades because of the lack of content more than anything. If we mailing members talked more there, the topics will raise commentary in the mailing list. it's usually like that, except people have stayed here to continue following the comments.

I'm sure, that once chris and Jamie start talking about future SP products (which they can't do here since they'll be third-party d20 products.) at the dragonlance.com page, commentary will shift.

However, i think the dragonlance novel group will still be going on strong.
There's not much that can be done about it.

Hello, everyone!

Yes, indeed, Dragonlance.com does have a new message board up! We wanted to have a "home" for Sovereign Press, as well as a place where all the great aspects of Dragonlance can come together. I'm hoping we can get some of the authors involved as well, and Margaret says she'll stop by from time to time.

To answer a few questions:

Will the new Dragonlance.com boards replace this one?

No. This is WotC's board to discuss Dragonlance, and indeed we hope to see it continue to grow and flourish.

Will the new boards simply be a rehash of the old RPGConsortium DL.com boards?

No, this is a totally new forum. All Dragonlance fans are welcome. I've already seen some faces from the DL-L, RPGConsortium boards, AFDL, and here.

Feel free to stop by, and say hello.

Well, it doesn't help that WotC NEVER announces ANYTHING on the mailing list.

There was a chat just this past week with Margaret and Jamie, and the only reason I found out was that Tal told me over AIM.

That's a shame.
