LGG 3.5 compatible?

I never really got into Greyhawk since my primary campaign worlds have been Dragonlance, FR and homebrew.

I saw the Living Greyhawk gazateer (the thick book) at a used bookstore for 8 bucks though and was thinking about going back to get it.
I'm also finally getting around to picking up the 3.5 core books.
So my question is: Is the LGG rules heavy and would it require some 3.5 conversions, or is it mainly source material (which is what I'm looking for)?

Also, is the city of Greyhawk detailed in there, or do I need to dig out my old boxed set and start converting?

I don't think there are any rules in the LGG. It's all background. The most "rules" stuff in there is NPC classes and levels, and deity domains.

It does not include detailed information on the city of Greyhawk like in the boxed set. You would need the articles from the LGJ that covered it, or have to do your own updating.

The LGG contains almost no rules. At the price you mentioned, you should buy it.

As for the City of Greyhawk, the LGG does not detail it to the level done in the boxed set or in The Adventure Begins. However, the LGJ has occasionally published articles updating each of the city's Quarters.

Thanks, if it's all source matrial, then it's exactly what I'm looking for. I'm heading out in a few minutes to go pick it up.
Shame about the city of Greyhawk though. I guess detailing that would be beyond the scope of the gazateer though.

Does anybody know which journal it was covered in and how I would go about getting a copy?

I think that some back issues remain available for resale. Some articles are available from Wizards at http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=lg/archive. For the LGH index, see http://www.canonfire.com/htmlnew/modules.php?name=Content&pa=showpage&pid=3.

Enjoy!
