I've just recently started playing a Kender, and I was wondering if anyone has any ideas about Kender quirks I could play out.

Kender are intently curious and just interested in things (some things more than others and perhaps that's where you quirks can come from), but not purposeful pests. But if you go with that, a propensity to live in the immediate moment, and unfailingly optimistic you'll probably be pretty close no matter what peculiarities you decide to decorate the character with.

But specifically.... Tas had his maps, your character could have their stories, or might be prone to producing sketches of landmarks, or sketches of people they'd seen, perhaps your kender makes double sure to keep a coin from each local (any coin will do) and takes care to never misplace the collection. A collection of regional lockpicks, keys. A kender bard might fillout a considerable repertoire of children's songs from all across Anaslon.

You might try the Kencyclopedia. Lots of good articles on this sort of subject matter.

In the Dragonlance DM Screen, the booklet has a pregenerated kender who likes to collect dragon-themed things. She has maps, but they all have dragon lairs marked on them.

Or, you could begin your journey towards being a kender nightstalker (see Age of Mortals), who have a knack for the spirits of the dead.

I think the biggest bit of advice I could give would be to find a theme for your kender, and go with it. Focus kender traits through the theme.

Hope that helps.

For the longest time I've had a concept in mind for a Kender cleric of Sirrion that focused on his aspect as a god of love. This kender would often try to 'play cupid' so to speak trying to play match maker whenever he could.

Also after War of the Lance it seems to me he should be a Chorister... and sing really cheesy love ballads.

Domains? Passion and Chaos...

If only I wasn't the only DL DM in my area... oh well. Someday... someday.
