I figure that like magic, Psionics has been changed to fit ravenloft. Is there anywhere I can see what powers have been changed, or am I on my own? In paticular, I'm interested in what power require a powers check, and what happens to many metacreativity powers. Does Ravenloft have normal connections to the astral plane? Is there a ready source of ectoplasm for powers such as astral construct? Are these constructs considered dread constructs? What happens when their duration expires?

I'm pretty sure that the Ravenloft Core Rulebook shoelace tackles this issue...

In fact, the core rules book of Ravenloft dont speak about psionic, me what i sugest is use what you find logic for the power cheak, as for a desintegration surely require a power cheak

The RL DMG has the whole section on how to treat psionics in RL. Alas, it's the 3.0 version. Thus, if you're using the (3.5) Expanded Psi Handbook, you'll have to work a bit to adapt it.

The rules for psionics in Ravenloft are in RLDMG (Ravenloft Dungeon master's Guide).

EDIT: Dammit, Dr. Mortepierre... You beat me again. :D

Also, be sure to check out these:

The Realms Beyond, page 10 of The Book of Souls.

Marcu Vasilis and the complementary adventure The Man Who Lost His Mind, on page 19 of The Forgotten Children.

The God Brain on page 24 of The Book of Sacrifices. It's not official, but it's neat. Keep in mind, I'm not suggesting you use the God Brain in your campaign as an NPC (unless you desperately want to kill the PCs), but it might be interesting for you as a DM to understand him (it?) better.

I had come up with the idea that summoning up ectoplasm in Ravenloft would work much like the old Spiritualists were supposed to in the late 1800s; it would be emitted from their bodies. My reasoning was that Ravenloft was not connected to the Astral plane, so ectoplasm couldn't be just spontaneous. People's minds, however, were always connected to the Astral by their very nature. To summon up ectoplasm, the connection came from within their own bodies (as close to the brain as possible) and usually made its way out the eyes ears mouth and nose, as Spiritualists were said to have done.

It made for some very creepy descriptions when used by both NPCs and unexpecting PCs.

I always used the mists instead of ectoplasm. Each Astral/Mist construct had a small chance (1% per power level...now perhaps 1% per 2 PSPs spent on creation) to become freewilled and hostile to its creator much like one of the created. This is/was inline with other effects from the old 2E rules which I liked.

Psionics really isn't that hard to ajudicate in RL. Psionics follows all the standard rules for the setting - can't detect good or evil, can use planar travel to get out, watch out for the thoughts of the undead...etc etc. Unlike some other settings a creatrure or PC with powers that are "a little different, and maybe scary" fits in pretty well.
