The Crone of Chaos is a brilliant and wicked creature that uses its spell-like abilities to sow discord amongst the civilised world. As a relative of the hag, the Crone has many magical qualities that provide the means for her to use illusion to destroy the innocent. Unless caught by surprise, the Crone will appear as a beautiful maiden. Otherwise, she has dried, leathery and wrinkled skin, stretched taught over spurred bones. Her hair is sparse and wiry, and her mouth holds a mess of broken and sharp rotting teeth. As she never bathes, her stench is impressively foul. Crones speak the common tongue, and any other language associated with the geographical area that she inhabits.

Combat

Animal Control (Sp): The Crone can Dominate Animals with a range of 240 feet. Animals so affected do not receive a save. This ability only affects creatures of the Animal type, thus not including beasts or magical beasts. Exceptionally intelligent animals, such as Paladin's Mounts, Familiars, or Druidic Animal Companions receive a Will Save DC 16 to resist. The Crone can never control any more that six animals at a time.

Daggers of Sorcery (Sp): At will, the Crone of Chaos can summon 1d6 ghostly white daggers to do her bidding (HD 1; HP 1; Hardness 5; Spd fly 30 feet (Perfect); AC 18; attack +7, 1d4 damage). The Crone controls the movement of the daggers and can make each one follow the target as it moves. With each successful hit by a dagger, the victim must make a Fortitude Save DC 15 or be shaken (-2 to attacks, checks, and Saves). The Crone can only summon one set at a time.

Spell-like abilities: At will -the Crone may Change Self as the spell of the same name. This ability is as a 6th level Sorcerer (DC 14).

Skills: All Crones receive a +1 racial bonus to listen and spot checks.
