Glantri's Nightmare Wand

Wands |Balerion the Black Dread'' by SRG-Wands butterfly wing magic wand on pinimg.com

The wand has 4 charges. Recover 1d4 charges every night.

Using one charge: Nightmare Lesson:

This spell shapes a creature's dreams. The target must be touched with the wand on the head. Creatures of magical origin with a more Dreamlands bound sleep, such as Elves, Fairies, Sidhe, can't be contacted by this spell and of course, any creature or monster that doesn't sleep is immune to this spell. The wand sends the teacher, or a willing creature (familiar or another student) the teacher touches with the wand, enters a trance state, acting as a messenger. While in the trance, the messenger is aware of his or her surroundings, but can't take actions or move.

The target must be asleep, the teacher will make the messenger appear monstrous and terrifying to the student. The messenger can deliver a message of no more than ten words (Like: "Wake Up!! or "Get Back to Class!!") and then the target must make a saving throw vs spell. On a failed save, echoes of the phantasmal monstrosity spawn a nightmare that lasts the duration of the target's sleep (no more than 10 minutes) and prevents the target from gaining any benefit from that rest. In addition, when the target wakes up with a pounding headache (for 1 turn), the sleeping student takes 1 Mental damage and shaken (for 2 turns).

The main goal of the messenger is to scare the student to stay awake in class.
