Thanksgiving one-shot: Giant turkeys on the Darokin-Atruaghin border

by Marc Saindon

As harvest draws to an end and feasting begins, a curse of gigantism is laid upon turkeys of the Atruaghin region, and these birds begin to feast on the peasants. In the real world, wild turkeys can be a nuissance, moving in groups, attacking larger targets like people on bikes, covering playgrounds with detritus. Imagine them at gargantuan levels, able to just glide off the plateau and start munching on those rich Darokin harvests. (yes, it's another Darokin suffers scenario).

Alternatively, taking from the aztec god Tezcatlipoca alternate form as a turkey (usually presented as a jaguar, but he has other forms), Mystara's Tezcatlipoca counterpart - Atzanteotl - may be the source of the curse, and in this case, the turkeys wander off into the 5 shires (still ruining Athenos along the way), and going Thanksgiving-Kaiju on the halflings.

On Tezcatlipoca's alternate form, the turkey of plagues... Chalchiuhtotolin
