Requirements
To qualify to become a hatra, a character must fulfil all the following criteria.
Base Attack Bonus: +5
Race: Rakasta
Ride: 8 Ranks
Feats: Mounted Combat, Improved Initiative
Special: A character wishing to become a Hatra must prove himself in combat before his pride. This usually means taking on a creature of a CR that is at least three points higher than his level, by himself, while the rest of his pride watches. If anyone intervenes or if he looses, the hatra must gain another level or wait a year before attempting it again.

Class Skills
The hatra's class skills ( and the key ability for each skill) are Animal Empathy (Cha), Balance (Dex), Climb (Str), Craft (Int), Handle Animal (Cha), Jump (Str), Listen (Wis), Ride (Dex), Sense Motive (Wis), Spot (Wis).

Skill Points per Level: 2 + Int modifier.
Hit Die: d10

Class Features
Weapons and Armour Proficiency: Hatra are proficient with all simple weapons, martial weapons, light armour, and shields. Note that armour check penalties for armour heavier than leather apply to the skills Balance, Climb, Escape Artist, Hide, Jump, Move Silently, Pick Pocket, and Tumble.
Special Mount: Upon becoming a hatra, a rakasta can call an usually intelligent, strong, and loyal animal to serve him in battle. This mount is usually Dire Cat. Hatra use special saddles for these mounts, that allow them to use their Leaping Strike while mounted. This saddle also allows them to act normally while mounted, granting them a +5 bonus to any ride checks.
Fast Movement: Hatra are even more agile and quick than other rakasta. When wearing no armour, light armour, or medium armour (and not carrying a heavy load), their speed is +10 feet.
Leaping Strike: Because of their natural agility hatra are able to perform a special attack known as leaping strike. This attack allows them to leap forward and strike, with deadly results. Performing a leaping strike is a full-round action and does not draw an attack of opportunity. The hatra firsts leaps at least 5 ft towards his opponent, and then makes his normal amount of attacks. Each attack that succeeds is treated as a critical threat, and may be rolled to see if it is a critical hit. If the hatra is riding his special mount, he or she may leap from her mount. The max distance a hatra can leap is based on his level. 10 ft at 3rd level, 15 ft at 6th level, and 20 ft at 9th level.
Multi Attack: At 4th level a hatra gains the multi attack feat. Attacks made with kasas count as attacks with natural weapons for rakasta.
Uncanny Dodge: At 7th level a hatra gains the uncanny dodge ability. This allows him to retain his Dexterity bonus to AC (if any) regardless of being caught flat-footed or struck by an invisible attacker. In addition, the hatra can no longer be flanked as he can react to opponents on opposite sides of himself as easily as he can react to a single attacker.
Whirlwind Attack: At 10th level a hatra gains the whirlwind attack feat, even if he can't meet the prerequisites. A hatra may use his Leaping Strike in conjunction with a Whirlwind Attack, however he cannot attack again for 1 round per successful attack made.

Ex-Hatra
The hatra have a special code of conduct known as the Sri'raka to which they must adhere. A hatra breaking the code cannot gain levels in this prestige class until he has redeemed himself in the eyes of his fellow warriors. The tenets of this code are:

· No challenge to fight is ever refused.
· Wounded are never left behind; carry them or kill them.
· Better to die in battle than in one's sleep.
· Give no mercy; never expect it.
· Retreat is permissible only in order to regroup. A new attack must be launched against the other force within two sunrises.
· Never surrender. Those who would exist as prisoners are not rakasta.
