[5E] Wild Beyond the Witchlight and Mystara

by Håvard

As first mentioned in this thread, the 5E Adventure, Wild Beyond the Witchlight includes several elements that connect it to Mystara. For that reason I have also added it to the 3E/4E/5E Mystara Product List.

Lets take a closer look at this book:

LJN characters included in this book are:
Kelek
Skylla
Warduke
Zarak (now an Orc)
Zargash (now a follower of Orcus)
Elkhorn
Mercion (Now a Cleric of Light....Ixion perhaps?)
Molliver
Ringlerun
Strongheart

As most Mystara fans will know, these characters appear in several Mystara publications.

Monsters relevant to Mystara
Bullywug Knight - reminiscent of the Knight of Newt from Thunder Rift?
Campestris - For some reason I thought the Old Man Katan adventure (Dungeon #41) was set in Mystara, but it seems it is generic.
Redcap
Giant Snail

Other thoughts
The idea of an adventure heavily connected to the Feywild does have a serious PC1 Tall Tales of the Wee folk flavor. I do love the idea of Domains of Delight as a parallell to the Domains of Dread. The realms explored in this adventure have no other real resonance to Mystara except for the LJN characters and a couple of monsters. I was disappointed that the Dragonflies were actual Dragonflies and not the Mystara kind.

Still the adventure should be relatively easy to adapt to any setting, including Mystara.

Have other Mystara fans here picked up this book? What are your thoughts about adapting it to Mystara?
