So, a basic dinner on the cheap side may cost about 7 copper, which is to be expected from the vast majority of places. A common fare in a town could instead run close to 4 silver. The wealthy would instead afford dinner at those kinds of places where one goes to be seen rather than satisfy hunger, with an average bill of 3-4 gold.

The prices don't cover dishes or beverages with "monstrous", "magic", or otherwise "fantastic" ingredients. Only a very few upscale places would dabble with these, and the rates would be probably 100 times higher.
