Realm of Othrong: Locations

by John Calvin

Some locations in the Realm of Othrong

Shadaur
(Shadowgate) The seat of Othrong’s power on the surface. The ruins had been empty since their population was sacrificed in BC 1013.
Shadaur was razed to the ground in order for Othrong’s construction project to happen. The village consists of several makeshift buildings around a gigantic central pit. Dug by hin slaves and drenched in elven blood, the pit radiates dark magic and is used by Othrong to summon other worldly creatures into his service.

Tot-Hed Maer
(Thothmeer) Established by Othrong at the behest of his patrons in order to venerate unknowable horrors in the depths of the Sea of Dread. Lizardfolk from Malpheggi have emigrated here en-mass and are masters of the hin slave trade, shipping hin up and down the southern coast of Brun to unscrupulous buyers.

Wailing Woods
Humanoids avoid these woods, especially after the sun falls. Tales told among the orcs say that the wails and screams of the elves they slaughtered within will haunt any humanoid who passes amongst the trees.

Faerdinel Keep
When the hin landed on these shores, Faerdinel Keep was the first settlement they established. Now it is their last remaining stronghold in the fight against the orcs of Othrong. Hin refugees from across the land have been massing here, though only a fraction of them are capable of fighting.
