Spellfire cards with Mystara Art

by Travis Henry

Hi, I've started looking through this comprehensive gallery of Spellfire cards, to find cards which recycled Mystara art. I figure that--especially when the subject is unnamed in the original source--the Spellfire card could serve as Mystaran lore.

I've looked through the 1st Edition Spellfire set so far, and these are the ones I've found:
https://ccgtrader.co.uk/card/10360/labor-of-legend (from one of the IM modules)
https://ccgtrader.co.uk/card/10362/elf-galleon (from Champions of Mystara)
https://ccgtrader.co.uk/card/10456/bribery (Darokin Gaz)
https://ccgtrader.co.uk/card/10457/charge (X9: Savage Coast)
https://ccgtrader.co.uk/card/10465/barbarian-raiders (Northern Reaches Gaz)
https://ccgtrader.co.uk/card/10505/halfling-mercenaries (5 Shires Gaz)
https://ccgtrader.co.uk/card/10605/bless (Hollow World)
https://ccgtrader.co.uk/card/10640/passwall (X11: Saga of the Shadow Lord)
https://ccgtrader.co.uk/card/10698/daga ... een-dragon (Companion Set. Gives a name to the green dragon: Dagaronzie)
https://ccgtrader.co.uk/card/10703/gib-evets (Red Box. Gives a name to the Elmore red dragon: Gib Evets. Which is "Big Steve" spelled backwards: https://alzrius.wordpress.com/2011/11/26/gib-nuf/ (DUNGEON magazine #150, p.33 "Kill Bargle" suggests that the red dragon under Castle Mistamere is named "Venthavaxus." BTW, that red dragon also was used as an online icon by WotC back in the early 2000s, and it had a name, but I forget what it was. Elmore himself calls it simply: "Ancient Red" https://larryelmore.com/store/DDAR/basi ... ncient-red)
https://ccgtrader.co.uk/card/10711/red-zeb (Gives name for red dragon from AC: Bestiary of Dragons and Giants: Red Zeb.)

That's only the 1st Edition. (And I might have missed some.)

Starting to look through 2nd Edition Spellfire:

https://ccgtrader.co.uk/card/12469/tupillil (The castle from Companion Set cover. It's named "Tupillil", which is "Lilliput" spelled backwards. Its function is to dispel the cards which begin with "Gib" (="Big"), which were zanily named after various designers of the Spellfire game. BTW, the knight from the Companion Set cover was also used for volume 1 of the Penhaligon Trilogy)
