Some wizards just received a scroll from Lady Felmoor, the mayor and GuildMaster of a remote area in the Glantrian Alps and a known wizard of scoring over 30K on her graduation test. The following letter, the Master Felmoor gets straight down to business.

You've just received a scroll from Lady Felmoor, the mayor and GuildMaster of a remote area in the Glantrian Alps and a known wizard of scoring over 30K on her graduation test. The following letter, the Master Felmoor gets straight down to business.

I congratulate you on passing your classes this term at the Glantri Great School of Magic . I have heard through one of your teachers that you want some real-world experience. As you may know, I oversee an expansive area in the Glantrian Alps called Fire Creek Valley that was settled less than a two years ago. These lands are great opportunity for you, unique herbs, creatures even relics from a lost kingdom. After months of clearing the lands, peasants were relocated to the frontier to work the land creating a village called New Brook. That was 16 months ago, and now the Flower harvest is nearing. Currently, a key export of Fire Creek Valley and an important source of income for the citizens of New Brook.

Peace and prosperity flourished in New Brook. With the exception of wandering scavengers and now bothersome creatures. Two weeks ago, I ordered my soldiers to do a survey of the Valley, hoping to find out what was eating some of fire cherries. While exploring a portion of the valley north of the village, they found a cave with artwork and records about an unknown forgotten kingdom. However, they also encounter a pair of strange wolf-like spirits that was immune to attacks but fled from a low powered magic missile.

I believe these creatures are magic in nature and beyond the capabilities of the current militia, I ask that you investigate this matter in my name. You will be given a write which, when presented to the militia of New Brook. I will offer you a free use of a wizard tower, Membership into the Fire Creek Wizard Guild and some crowns for your assistance. However, there are even better rewards...components, hot springs even stone tablets with magic spells throughout the Fire Creek Valley even grants for spell research and archeological excavations.

"Paramount is the protection of the community, prevention of deaths, and the harvesting of this autumn's flower harvest. Accomplish this for the Fire Creek Valley, New Brook and I will be extremely grateful. Tell me wizard, are you up to the challenge?

Sincerely,
GuildMaster Felmoor
