The Zargash Region

by Robin

The 1720BC map designates the area held as by Traldar, the label is large suggesting the whole east of Vyallia forest as well as north of it.
The part north of the Wild River has been part of the Tarsh Giant nation where Zargash was its main town in this region. Hillgiants, Firbolgs and other maller giants lived here under the rule of Stone giants.
Stone Giants are actually a completely different race (Silicon-based organism instead carbon-based) and have been friendly to humans until enslaved by the Nithians and Taymorans to build their structures (see The Broken Sea Islands)

The giant city was conquered by gnolls in 1000 BC and destroyed.
The 500 BC map suggests this area had been reclaimed from the Elves as well as the giants enabling such villages to rise
Recently some Stone(25) and HillGiants(30) have resettled the village yet no mutual agenda and cooperation has been agreed, both groups live seperate fromn eachother in the ruins. The Hillgiants prefer to eat humans, deer, boar, and ork, the stone giants have their own foods, and are more-or-less peaceful (some bear ancient resentment to their treatment 2500years ago
Thyatians laid claim to the region, reset the border from the Vyallia elves, and laid claim to the Traldar villages and the mines. Regular caravans take the valuables to Kerendas. Further the region is only having a road up north to the valleys of leading to the Castellan keep, and all other areas are mostly ignored. Some renegade extremists destroy the Traldar Temple now and then only to find it fully restored later. after a few tries they have given up.

The region south is dominated by the Vyallia Elves who have the forests beyond the cliffed edges of the hills.
Their most part is politically Karameikan, while the eastern section is Thyatian, to the elves both are Vyallian, and they intend to someday make this official, without causing strenuos actions on either side. Elves have the time to wait for the right oppurtunity.

The remaining Karameikan region has some more recent settlements, and these were affected by the tale of the Dark knight in 1018AC accordingly. Before this date the settlements have other information

Everything Red is ruined after a specific date
Everything black is intact at least till 1018AC
Everything in blue has some other significance

I hope you all like this corner region of Karameikos, soo obscure and incomplete described.
The only things required are some henges/standing stones, magical locations, missing altitudes and things like that, now I can place this region in the Central Karameikos map (and later continue on the West Thyatian map)

25-08-2021; added details like Henges, CourtCairns, and minor trails, as well as Stone Giant Hatching Caves and Hillgiant camps, also added more heights (still more to do north of Dryads Grove and in the Olde Woods, yet the part I required for the Karameikos Central map is now finished)
15-01-2022 Finally succeded to add the altitudes in the Altenia Valley, now I can work on the rest.
Added Olive Orchards along the Coast, added the Ruins of Vada (an Old Town died by a sunken ship in its harbour which totally kiiled commerce), added more altitudes, added mills, placed grassy Dunes Between Vada and Livios
