Museum of Monsterology

by Robin

Just to add some visuals to the Museum of Monsterology in the Great School of magic
A slain demon mage and its equipment stored in the safe lead plated mahogany covered closet(do not misjudge the scale!! The books alone are 4' high and 8 inches thick --these books may only be watched by mages capable of casting 9th level spells and fully charged with defensive wards and protections....the GSM does not desire another spawn of lowlevel mages turning mad and slaying others like in 12Nuwmont 1014 AC)

Minor TerrorLizard from Isle of Dread

Just some bodyparts

A monsterologist/Taxidermist kit (very useful) empty 100GP, filled 2d100x10 gp (the head of the Succubus used as major component here is displayed lower)

A small Blue Dragon (a mere 14' in length)

A Undeveloped Black dragon taken from the egg, look at its beak , it is already horrifying and dangerous

A tax=related confiscated storage from a mage interested in Undead Kobolds

Another set of tax-related confiscated materials related to Necromancy and undead0fication of Humans and humanoids

An Imp, slain by Ettiene D'Ambreville himself in 1000AC

The study on Fairies. Here two wingless pixy's and a winged sprite, In dead form they lost all their beauty and luster. It is thusfar impossible to turn these into an undead form, why is unknown

A common Necromancer's Kit (155GP)

Some severely studied remains of the creatures impacted in solid time in the Great Crater (and other meteor impact locations). Divination reveals these are Illithids(that was what they called themselves) from the destroyed planet of Damocles.

Gnoll carcas

Old Hag face(slain estimated 788AC=828AC in the forty years war. Owned originally by the GSM predessor the former Fire Wizard's Academy. . Do not remove the Holy Symbol!!This face revealed that some witches transform into hags due demonic influences. Use the Holy water on the face in case it begins to speak.(see also in GSM pages 368-369 and 457and 474)

A bunch of Topi's de-animated (yet be careful, some reanimate now and then)

Head of Lucius DeGroot, a Flaemish Werewolf slain in the winter of 892 AC

Unknown monsters from the Deep Abyss (south of Ierendi), Brought in by Hamish McGregor (see PC3 page 18+)

Head of a Succubus (without its beautifying magical enhancements and illusions

Kobold head and bodies (clearly revealing its caninoid origins (instead the lizard kobolds from other realities)

Unknown specimen, as large as a large workhorse, brought in by Micky the Mage in 14th Yarthmont 1000AC; His response; "Keep that damned thing away from me, I just barely succeeded to slay it before it killed me". Any research must be documented to determine the speecies, magical aptitude, powers, usefullness and components research. Micky graciously deposited his pages of his diary describing the battle of the creature.(this is placed in Drawer 1512-Micky-15)

and of course to make some fun ;)
